Excerpts from Giscome Road
Giscome Road is about the constellation of locations towns, a rapids, a canyon, &c in northern British Columbia named for the Jamaican miner and explorer John Robert Giscome (1832-1907), "discoverer" of the Giscome Portage route into the Arctic.
"Northern Road" appeared in a slightly different version in Two Sections From Giscombe Road, published in 1995 by Leave Books.
