Curt Leitz

Curt Leitz is a doctoral candidate in the English Department at the University of Minnesota; he received his B.A. from Carleton College, and his M.A. from the University of Minnesota. His dissertation examines literature and creative writing programs that focus on social, political, and community empowerment; other academic interests include performed poetry, critical pedagogy, and the Upper Mississippi River's history, ecology, and cultures. He lives in La Crosse, Wisconsin and stays home with his two-year-old daughter, Anja.
