november moon                         november moon

Length passed;                            All souls, raise your hands—
dimension fled;—
                                                    (easier done than said)
(ivy moon
a pale slug eating                         i have a little headache,
a downed poppy)                        you said to the word—

i had knocked                              & the word described
on the door                                  as water came
     & wept—                               in the style of a stem
                                                    by a stream
& the moon didn’t answer           by a stone;
but the door
     with three                               it is wild that you lived,
corners did—                              said the word—
