Shira Dentz She is the recipient of an Academy of American Poets' Prize, Poetry Society of America's Lyric Poem and Cecil Hemley Memorial Awards, Electronic Poetry Review's Discovery Award, and Painted Bride Quarterly's Poetry Prize. She worked for many years in NYC as an art director, producing ads for rock concerts, is a graduate of the Iowa Writer's Workshop and currently is a doctoral candidate at the University of Utah.
