Exercise 31 (12/29/01 p.m.)

W
ould rather be watching TV.
Huge apt and my body in it, one percent
of it, moving. Monstrous.

Lifting the hips toward the ceiling the air
below revamps

Yellow reflection
swells and dives over a hill of glasscurve
I move my head, yellow pinlight
grows a hole in its center & sucks together

9 venomous birds V’s of beaks
around the ceiling lamp
upholding it in round of brass.
Strong and free of attitude
like a bracelet around a punch.

What do you think you are going to find out?
            I will find out.
Facing the room, I could walk in there
the girl thrown from the lamp
