Vanity and Gash

Doodads and rickrack lounge about

The vanity, oh the short

Shelf-life of fashion! its

Tawdry links—accessory, comestible, trot!

Repartees of angle and sash,

Nickerings before mirrors when what

We cats need is scat-

Moan busting up the cubist

Firelight. I got ricochet and

Hinge, gash and rabble against

The departmental score. I done

Made my mental tally. I

Got rain sharpening its claws

Up the rooftop. I do

Lope through the assailant damp.

The tub sits denudedly white.
