Alan Halsey
Alan Halsey was born in London, in 1949. He ran the Poetry Bookshop
in Hay-on-Wye from 1979 to 96. He now lives in Sheffield and is the
publisher of West House Books. His books include a selected writing,
Wittgenstein's Devil (Stride 2000), and The
Text of Shelley's Death (Five Seasons 1995, reprinted by West
House 2001). Lives of the Poets is a work in progress, in collaboration
with Martin Corless-Smith; a selection, Lives
of the Poets: A Preliminary Count, was published by Ispress
in 2002.
