Leonard Kress has published two collections, The Centralia Mine Fire and Sappho's Apples. Orphics will appear in 2003 on Kent State University Press. He has also translated the work of the 16th century Polish poet, Jan Kochanowski and recently completed a new verse translation of the 19th century Polish Romantic epic of Adam Mickiewicz, Pan Tadeusz. He teaches at Owens College in Ohio.
