Volker Braun

Born in 1939 in Dresden, Volker Braun has lived in Berlin for many years. He has published plays, prose works, and poetry collections, most recently Lustgarten, Preußen (1996) and Tumulus (1999). His numerous awards include the prestigious Büchner Prize (2000).
