Trane DeVore was born in Rescue, California, graduated from Sonoma State University with a B.A. in English, and is currently working on a doctorate in English at the University of California, Berkeley. His work has appeared recently in Mirage, Crowd, First Intensity, Chain, Salt Hill and at www.canwehaveourballback.com. He has published one book, series/mnemonic (Avec Books, 1999). In his spare time Trane draws comics, takes photographs, and plays the clarinet.
